Fall Ball Schedule

Fall Ball will follow USA Softball rules with the following changes:

Time Limit:

Games will be 70 minutes, finish the batter at the end of the time limit. Afterward, there will be a 15-minute break before the next game starts

Cleats:

Divisions 2 and 3: Metal cleats are not allowed.

Division 4: Players are permitted to wear metal softball cleats.

(No metal cleats in the hitting bay)

Count Rules:

Divisions 3 and 4: The count starts at 1 ball and 1 strike.

Division 2: The count starts at 0 balls and 0 strikes. In the event of two walks in an inning, the coach will pitch for the remainder of the inning, and the pitcher will stay in their defensive position.

Pitching distance:

Division 2: 35'

Division 3: 40'

Division 4: 43'

Home / Away Team:

If team's are playing double header's against each other, each team is to be the home team one game.

If team's are not playing the same opponent back to back, the home team will be determined by rolling a ball. Closest to the mound gets to choose. 

There is a 5 run limit per half inning.  Score is not to be turned into the league.  We will not have any playoffs or standings for the fall season.

Any rained out game will not be made up.  (Typically our Fall season is 6 weeks, but we added 2 weeks to accommodate any rainouts)

On October 20th we will have a pumpkin smash.  Each team will decorate a few pumpkins for the opposing team to smash.  (More details will be posted in October)

Additional rules for Division 2 (ages 8 - 10):

Coaches are allowed and encouraged to be on the field to help instruct the girls.

Leadoffs are allowed (after the ball is released), but stealing is prohibited.

In the event of two walks in an inning, the coach will pitch for the remainder of the inning, and the pitcher will stay in their defensive position. The coach may pitch from any distance they choose.
